On June 2 at 2:55 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP received a report of an unknown incident at a residence on Kehewin Cree Nation.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male. Bonnyville RCMP secured the residence and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was called in to investigate.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Calub Finlay of Lloydminster.
As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged Jermaine Jackson, 21, with:
- Second Degree Murder.
Jackson has been arrested and taken before a Justice where he has been remanded in custody with his next court date set for June 9 at St. Paul Provincial Court.
As this matter is now before the courts no further information is available.
