Munro: Anne Munro passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023 at the Dr. Cooke Continuing Care facility in Lloydminster, Alberta at the age of 101.
Anne was born on March 15, 1922 on the farm near Wood Mountain, SK to Dan Ciocia and Anne (Jacobs) Ciocia.
Anne and her husband, Art Schau, moved to Lloydminster in 1963 where they built and operated the first A & W Drive-In in the city.
Anne is survived by: her three daughters, Jerri (Clayton) Flynn; granddaughter, Cindy (Darron) Lawrence and their daughters, Cheyenne and Savannah; granddaughter, Tracy (Darrel) Hardes and their daughters, Chantelle and Taylor; grandson, Derek (Terena) Martin and their son, Chase; Beverly (Gordon) Harris; granddaughter, Sherri Ann (Evan) Stephens and their daughters, Amy (Michael) Kuziak and Mira (Keeghan) McLennan; grandson, Craig (Rebecca) Harris and their son, Oscar; Debbie (Lionel) Morin; grandson, Jason Morin; grandson, Christopher (Lisa) Morin and their sons, Jack and Grant; and one sister, Eve Sarjeant.
Anne was predeceased by: her first husband, Mike Lupick; her husband, Art Schau in 1979; and by her husband, Max Munro in 2003. She was also predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
The Funeral Service for Anne Munro was conducted from Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta, on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Donations in memory of Anne may be made to donor’s charity of choice.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
