The Alberta RCMP have issued the following press release advising shelter in place near CFB Cold Lake and Bonnyville.
Cold Lake and Bonnyville RCMP are currently tracking a reportedly armed suspect in the area of CFB Cold Lake.
While police search for this suspect we are issuing a shelter in place for residents who reside:
North of Kingsway;
West of 62 Street;
South of Township Road 632;
East of Range Road 424.
This area includes the Cold Lake Golf and County Club.
Residents within this area are asked to stay in your homes, lock your doors, and call 911 if you see anything suspicious. Individuals outside of this zone are asked to avoid the area.
The suspect is described as:
- – Light complexion
– 6 feet tall
– Reported to be wearing a black hat, black jacket, white and black stripped shirt, blue jeans
