Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is in Austin, Texas today to talk energy with Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
The goal, reinforce Alberta as a secure energy partner. Furthermore, strengthen collaboration for a stronger future.
Smith, currently on a personal holiday in Texas, will be supported by James Rajotte, Alberta’s senior representative to the U.S., and a staff member from the Alberta-Dallas office.
According to the Government of Alberta, “The meeting will be a key opportunity to discuss North American energy security with Governor Abbott. (As well as) enhance Alberta’s ties with the largest energy-producing state in the U.S.”
Since Smith is on personal time, there are no government costs related to her trip. She will, however, be available for questions upon her return.
Alberta/Texas energy partnership in brief
