The Town of Bonnyville Council will once again support the annual talent show run by the Zone II Regional Council of the Metis Nation of Alberta Association.
The talent show has been supported by the town in previous years. In 2015, council approved a motion to support the talent show with a financial contribution of $500.
“This function took place when I was on council before and it was very well attended,” said Coun. David Sharun. “Full house, Bannock and soup and something good to get after the Christmas blah’s.”
The event will benefit over 300 people and local businesses. Council passed a motion to support the talent show with a financial contribution of $500.
The funds, according to the sponsorship request form, will assist with expenses to run the event.
The form also talks about the event being a morale booster for the town.
The show is being held at the Bonnyville Centennial Centre on Dec. 26.
