The City of Lloydminster and Cenovus Energy are partnering to enhance neighbourhood connection.
In a press release, the City announced its partnership with Cenovus as they launch the Cenovus Energy block party trailer.
Cenovus contributed $50,000 towards naming rights, purchasing and outfitting the unit.
The Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer project intends to build social connections following resident feedback from the City of Lloydminster’s Social Needs Assessment.
In the assessment, 24 per cent of responders indicated they did not feel a sense of belonging to their neighbourhood. Cenovus says it remains committed to investing in regions where employees live, work and play.
“This block party trailer will bring people together in celebration of the community spirit that defines Lloydminster. It will provide an accessible way for the city's residents to enjoy shared activities and make connections, helping strengthen the vibrancy of this community," said Craig Pardy, senior manager, operations and maintenance, Cenovus Energy.
The trailer will be available to all residents who want to gather with their neighbours free of cost.
