Trans-Mountain will shut down its Puget Sound pipeline for maintenance for seven days in mid-November.
The Canadian Government-owned corporation announced the move last week, highlighting its proactive approach to maintaining infrastructure.
The Puget Sound Pipeline is a key segment of the larger Trans-Mountain pipeline that starts in Edmonton, Alta.
Every day, it transports over 38 million litres of oil—more than twice Lloydminster's daily output—supplying refineries in Anacortes, Cherry Point, and Ferndale, Washington.
It has operated since 1954 and is vital in fuelling these facilities.
Trans-Mountain planned this maintenance in advance to ensure a smooth and timely completion.
