A heavy police presence in the area of 49 St. and 48 Ave. led to a street closure.
Around 11 a.m. on Feb. 13, various marked and unmarked units from Lloydminster RCMP descended on a home in the area. Access to the 4800 block of 48 Ave. was restricted for a short time.
Multiple plain-clothed officers could be seen carrying equipment into a home near the corner of the two roadways. Officers were also seen carrying large calibre rifles in the area during the call.
RCMP states more information will be provided when it can be made available.
