Lakeland College animal science technology students will showcase their skills at the 5th annual RoundUp Livestock Auction on March 22.
The student-run sale is part of the college’s student-managed farm. Students from the purebred beef, commercial beef and equine units will sell animals they worked hard to raise and train.

“We can’t wait for the sale,” said Samantha Bracken, an animal health technology equine major and RoundUp committee member.
“It is such an awesome opportunity to showcase the animals we work so hard to raise and train throughout the year, as well as make industry connections and learn how to put on a good sale.”
This year’s auction includes:

- 1 Red Angus yearling bull
- 5 purebred replacement heifers
- 4 pens of commercial open replacement heifers
- 1 pen of commercial-bred heifers
