Kitscoty RCMP charge two for break and enter

On Jan. 23, at about 2:30 a.m., Kitscoty RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress at a local business outside of Marwayne, Alta. A truck was stolen from the business which was discovered by Kitscoty RCMP in a ditch, a short distance away.

A male was subsequently located in the area of the collision location and arrested. Josh Thorne, 28, of Lashburn, Sask. has been charged with the following:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft of truck
  • Disguise with intent
  • Drive while suspended

Following further investigation Kitscoty RCMP have arrested and charged a second individual. Murray Young, 24, of Vermilion County, Alta., is charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft of truck
  • Disguise with intent
  • Drive while suspended

Thorne and Young are scheduled to appear on Mar. 8 at Lloydminster Provincial Court.

As this matter is before the court no further information can be provided.
