On Sept. 30, 2022, Lloydminster RCMP were called to a local business regarding a male who was making verbal threats towards staff.
Lloydminster RCMP attended the business and conducted patrols in the area in attempts to locate the male. A short time later, Police Dog Services (PDS) located and arrested the male in the near by area. The male was then searched by members on scene. A loaded firearm, ammunition and a knife were found on his person.
Morgan Tyrell Pattison, 31, a resident of Lloydminster, was charged with 13 Criminal Code offences, some of which include the with the following:
- Possession of an unauthorized firearm
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Using a firearm in commission of an offence
- Uttering threats against a person
As a result of this investigation, On Aug. 15, Pattison was present at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster and was sentenced to 30 months in custody.
