Canada goes for gold in beach volleyball

It’s gold or bust for Team Canada.

Canada is going for gold in Paris today as Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson attempt to make history with Canada’s first Olympic podium in beach volleyball.

Humana-Paredes and Wilkerson take on Brazil’s Silva Ramos and Santos Lisboa in today’s final, which starts at 2:30 p.m. MDT (4:30 p.m. EDT). The match will be available online or through your local provider.

Canada has never competed for an Olympic medal in beach volleyball. The best we’ve done in the sport was at the 2001 Tokyo Olympics with a fifth-place finish.
