The Lloydminster Bandits (12-2) blasted the Onion Lake Border Chiefs (0-14) 20-1 at the Centennial Civic Centre on Nov. 15.
Assistant captain Kade Dennett got things going three minutes into the first frame. What followed was complete domination by the Bandits as they maintain residency at the top of the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League (NEAJBHL) standings.
Dennett scored two more later in the game for a hat trick. Maddux Woodbury made it a 2-0 game not long after Dennett's opener. Woodbury scored four more last night for a total of five.
Jason Rutley got his third of the season shortly after, which was followed by markers from Corvan Stewart, Adryan Bugiera, Nate Crookedneck, Woodbury (2) and captain Joel Webb. The Bandits held a commanding 8-0 lead after 20 minutes to close out the first.
The second period saw goals from Dennett (2), Woodbury (3), Jayden Plamondon, Elijah Morin, Bugiera (2), Aidan Martens and Jace Gunderson.
Heading into the third with a 15-0 lead, the Bandits kept applying pressure and saw goals from Dax Howrie, Woodbury (4), Dennett (3), two from Webb (2,3) and one more from Woodbury (5).
The Bandits are in St. Paul tonight to take on the Canadiens. The Bandits are back at the Civic Centre on Nov. 30 to host the Wainwright Bisons.
