Loon Lake RCMP has four individuals in custody after a high-speed chase near Pierceland.
The chase ended with RCMP seizing roughly 195 grams of crystal methamphetamine, ammunition, brass knuckles, a hatchet and drug trafficking paraphernalia. The items were located inside the vehicle and on the arrested individuals.
On Nov. 19 at roughly 8:35 a.m., Loon Lake received reports of two stolen vehicles heading north on Highway #26 towards Loon Lake. It was also reported occupants in one of the vehicles was in possessions of a firearm. The firearm was also allegedly pointed at an adult male.
Look Lake RCMP located a car matching the description of one of the two stolen vehicles. Officers attempted to pull the car over, however, the vehicle swerved to avoid police and fled northbound towards Pierceland.
Occupants inside the car threw several items out the car window, including gas cans, stereos, a floor mat, bags, and a number of other unknown objects. No damage to the police vehicle was reported.
A spike belt was used near the Beaver Creek Bridge, deflating two of the tires. One tire fell off the car, but it continued to flee police at a high rate of speed.
After further pursuit, the car entered a field and damaged a fence before coming to a stop. The driver and three passengers exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers arrested three adult males and one adult female shortly after.
As a result of continued investigation, officers determined earlier on Nov. 19, 2024, a group of individuals entered a residence on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation. They assaulted two males inside the residence, pointing a firearm at one of them. No injuries were reported to police.
Courtlin Littlewolfe, 38, from Onion Lake, Sask., is charged with:
- one count, pursuit involved – flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
- one count, operation while prohibited, Section 320.18, Criminal Code;
- one count, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, mischief under $5,000, Section 430(4), Criminal Code;Â
- one count, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possession of a firearm when prohibited, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.
Warren Littlewolfe, 34, from Onion Lake, Sask., is charged with:
- two counts, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code;
- three counts, possession of a firearm when prohibited, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code; and
- two counts, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code.
Kyle Soosay, 34, from Onion Lake, Sask., is charged with:
- one count, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code;
- two counts, possession of a firearm when prohibited, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code; and
- two counts, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code.
Tylena Takakenew, 21, from Thunderchild First Nation is charged with:
- one count, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, extortion without firearm, Section 346(1.1)(b), Criminal Code.
Courtlin Littlewolfe, Warren Littlewolfe, Kyle Soosay, and Tylena Takakenew were each additionally charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, being unlawfully in a dwelling house, Section 349(1), Criminal Code;Â
- one count, robbery with a firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code.
Courtlin Littlewolfe, Warren Littlewolfe, Soosay, and Takakenew appeared in Loon Lake Provincial Court on Nov. 21, 2024.
