Column: Holiday, a time to look forward

It’s always nice coming out of the holiday season.

New Year’s is often a time to reflect for the masses and look back on the year they just lived. For me I often find myself looking forward to what the next year will bring.

Honestly, I’m pretty excited for 2025, I had a good break, got to visit family and ate plenty of good food.

Now I’m back in my newly acquired seat (thanks Geoff) and I’m ready to go. I know Lloydminster will have plenty of exciting things ahead, just next week we have the Aztec Safety Challenge and curling will grace the city.

I’ve taken some time to consider how and what I’ll be writing in 2025. I can’t wait to keep learning about the history of the border city and hopefully write compelling columns about the ancient goings on.

I’m also looking forward to continuing to keep the people of Lloydminster informed of the affairs in the city and the surrounding region.

To my surprise, I was also excited to get my camera out and take in more sports action. I was never a big sports guy but there’s something amazing about capturing that perfect moment on film.

Anyway, I don’t want to ramble on for too long, I can’t wait to meet and interact with the community and continue my journey as a newly-minted Lloydminster resident. Hopefully everyone had a great holiday!
