Former LMHA chair court case delayed

A former Lloydminster Minor Hockey Association (LMHA) board member charged with fraud has had his court case delayed.

Aaron Foster, 42, was the operations chair with the LMHA, and was due to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on Jan. 28.

Foster is facing four charges, fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000, criminal breach of trust and false pretense.

According to the Lloydminster RCMP, their investigation found that over $300,000 was taken from the association through fraud and theft over a period spanning five years.

The court adjourned for the day before taking any action on the case. Foster is scheduled to appear in court again on Feb. 18.
