RCMP have charged three men after a firearm was discharged from a vehicle in North Battleford.
On Feb. 14 at 10:45 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of shots fired. Officers determined the firearm was discharged from a vehicle with three people inside.
Police located the suspect vehicle in a parking lot on 99th St. The vehicle fled when officers approached. Police activated emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop.
Officers chased the vehicle and deployed a tire deflation device. The vehicle continued south through Battleford toward the Red Pheasant First Nation.
RCMP and Saskatoon Police Service patrolled the area to find the vehicle. At 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 15, officers found it stuck in a ditch on Red Pheasant First Nation. They arrested one suspect at the scene.
Officers later found a firearm and a magazine nearby. They learned the vehicle had been stolen earlier that night.
