There’s currently a heavy police presence on scene in downtown Lloydminster blocking off roads.
RCMP have 49 Ave. blocked off between 51 and 50 St. behind the Community Health Services Prarie North Plaza.
“We understand that a heightened police presence may cause concern, but we want to assure the public that there is no ongoing risk to safety. We ask the public to avoid these areas as police carry out their work,” said RCMP in a statement.
Police have not released any details regarding the ongoing incident.
