A judge sentenced ‘Freedom Convoy’ organizer Pat King to three months house arrest on Feb. 18 as first reported by the Canadian Press.
King must also complete 100 hours of community service at a food bank or men’s shelter.
He already spent nine months in custody before and during his trial.
Justice Charles Hackland found King guilty on five of nine charges, including mischief and disobeying a court order in November.
The charges stem from his role in the 2022 protest that shut down downtown Ottawa for three weeks.
Hackland ruled King must stay home, except for three hours on Mondays to get essentials, attend court, or do community service.
King cannot return to Ottawa except for court appearances.
He must also stay away from six other convoy leaders, including Tamara Lich and Chris Barber.
