The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is working to evacuate the La Loche Health Centre and Hospital due to wildfires and road access.
SHA is working with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency and community partners to evacuate nine residents as a pre-emptive action.
Transfer plans have been developed and individuals will be transferred based on care needs and the capacity of the receiving health care facilities in Biggar and Kindersley.
At this time, La Loche Health Centre and Hospital remains open for anyone who requires emergency care.
