Eastbound Highway 16 at Highway 897 near Kitscoty is currently closed due to a serious motor vehicle collision, according to the RCMP.
“Kitscoty RCMP are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 16 eastbound, at the intersection of Highway 897,” said Cpl. Mathew Howell.
“The eastbound intersection will be closed until further notice while emergency crews respond. The public is asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel.”
RCMP ask motorists to slow down, move over, pay attention to your surroundings and give emergency personnel room to work safely.
