Loon Lake RCMP looking for armed-robbery suspects

Loon Lake RCMP is looking for Frederick Derocher, 31, and Tamarah Dillon, 32, after an attempted armed robbery on Sept. 12.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Derocher, a resident of Island Lake First Nation, and Dillon, a resident of Onion Lake Cree Nation.

Derocher is described as approximately 5’10” and 165 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

Dillon is described as approximately 5’5” and 190 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

They have both been charged with:

– one count, robbery with a firearm, Section 344(1)(a.1), Criminal Code; 

– one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87(1), Criminal Code;

– one count, use of an imitation firearm while committing an indictable offence, Section 85(2)(a), Criminal Code;

– one count, possession of a firearm or weapon contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code; and

– one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code.

BACKGROUND

Loon Lake RCMP received a report of an attempted armed robbery involving a firearm on Island Lake First Nation (Ministikwan) on Sept. 12.

Officers responded immediately and an investigation determined an interaction occurred between two males and a female.

The female and one of the males pointed a firearm at the male victim. The firearm was not discharged. The female and male left the residence in a 2009 to 2014 Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck. It has a two-tone styled paint job – grey on the rocker panels and red above.

No injuries were reported to police.
