Emergency services in Lloydminster responded to Lakeland College early on Sept. 14 for reports of a collision between a car and a building.
“At around 4:52 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to a call of a vehicle (a sedan) that drove into the front of the dorm,” said RCMP public information officer, Mather Howell. “According to initial information, the vehicle was heavily damaged but was able to leave the scene.”

Photos show cracks in the window and concrete on the side of dorm 205 at the Lloydminster Campus. Lakeland College provided the following statement.
“We are aware of the incident and glad there were no injuries,” said Kent Hummelle, vice president of people and cultural services for Lakeland. “We continue to support the RCMP as they conduct their investigation.”
“Patrols were done in the area and the vehicle was not located,” said Howell. “Further investigation revealed it may have been a vehicle often seen around the college. The investigation is ongoing.”
