RCMP investigating after firearm discharged at cyclist

Meadow Lake RCMP is seeking two suspects after a firearm was discharged in the community early Wednesday morning.

Police say that about 1 a.m. on Nov. 19, officers received a report of a gun fired near the intersection of 2nd St. West and 3rd Ave. West in Meadow Lake.

Their investigation found that a man riding a bicycle in the area was shot at by another man who was walking with a woman. The cyclist was not injured.

The pair were last seen fleeing on foot toward 2nd Street West. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate them.

The male suspect was wearing a grey hoodie at the time of the incident, while the female was seen in a black coat.

RCMP continue to investigate and is asking the public for help identifying the suspects or providing any information about suspicious activity in the area during the early hours of Nov. 19.
