Saskatchewan RCMP is investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found unresponsive in a parking lot near the junction of Highway 4 and 1 Ave. West on Nov. 28.

Meadow Lake RCMP received the report at about 8:50 a.m. and responded immediately. Officers located an adult woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified her as a 29-year-old woman from Waterhen Lake First Nation. Her family has been notified.
RCMP say the death is being treated as suspicious. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is now leading the investigation with support from the Meadow Lake detachment, North Battleford Police Dog Services, North Battleford Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
