Between October and December 2025, police responded to 4,285 calls for service, down 715 from the previous quarter. During the same period, the Lloydminster Operations Control Centre received 2,073 911 calls involving both police and fire services.

The quarterly report provides a snapshot of policing activity and is intended to improve transparency and inform residents about the work being done by officers and support staff at the local detachment. The RCMP fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31.
Police said crime reduction initiatives and proactive policing strategies contributed to significant decreases in several crime categories. Officers also credited members of the public for providing information that helped investigations and led to charges that may otherwise have gone unsolved.
During the three-month period, RCMP laid 1,095 criminal and provincial charges. Of those, 300 were for failing to comply with court orders, an increase of 42 compared with the third quarter of the previous year. Police also laid 72 charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, up 30 from the same period a year earlier.
The report shows thefts of motor vehicles dropped sharply, with 32 incidents reported compared with 90 in the third quarter of 2024. Police noted the decline may be linked to vehicle owners taking additional precautions, such as securing vehicles and removing keys.
False 911 calls decreased by 13 year over year, while false alarms fell by 61. Police said reductions in those types of calls allow officers to focus on more serious incidents and proactive policing duties.
Other activity during the quarter included 560 criminal record checks completed by detachment staff, 448 prisoners processed through the Lloydminster cell block and 272 collisions reported within the city.
RCMP noted that the time required to complete investigations varies widely, with some calls resolved within minutes and others requiring dozens of hours from multiple officers and support staff.
