The Maizex Corn Maze near Kitscoty is celebrating country music icon Dolly Parton while raising funds for a local early literacy program.

The eight-acre maze, which opened in 2024, is one of only two Dolly Parton Imagination Library-themed corn mazes in Canada this season.
This weekend, the attraction is hosting Dolly Days, offering visitors an admission discount if they dress in Dolly-inspired outfits. A portion of ticket sales will support the local branch of the Imagination Library, operated through the Lloydminster Learning Council.
“We are beyond humbled to honour Dolly’s legacy, joining the world in mourning the passing of a true American treasure,” said Brett Herbst, founder of The MAiZE Inc, designer of the 20 mazes.
“Dolly’s impact on the world and her love for farming is immeasurable and our corn maze tributes now take on new meaning and significance, as we honour her and her beloved Imagination Library.”
Visitors can also enjoy Dolly-themed treats and sparkling drinks, with additional donations accepted both on-site and online.
Organizers hope the fundraising push will keep the local program afloat and help secure full sponsorship for another year. All funds raised will stay within the Lloydminster region.
Representatives from the local Imagination Library will be at the maze Saturday to hand out free books to children and families.
