Killam/Forestburg RCMP has arrested a man following an alleged indecent act in downtown Killam.

Police say that on Dec. 6, at about 11:30 a.m., a woman returned to her vehicle on 50 St. and observed a man exposing himself and attempted to draw the woman’s attention.

Following an investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect.

As a result, Gannen Stanyer, 21, of Sedgewick, Alta., was arrested and charged with indecent act, indecent exhibition, nudity, breach of a probation order related to prior indecent acts and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Stanyer was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Killam on Jan. 6.
