Lloydminster RCMP investigating recent shooting

Lloydminster RCMP is currently looking for the suspect involved in a recent shooting in the Border City.

On Jan. 11 at about 11:40 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP received a report of a shooting on 47 Ave. near 27 St.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located a 29-year-old male with an apparent gun shot wound.

The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to recover. The victim reports being outside when he was approached by a lone suspect who demanded the keys to his vehicle. A struggle ensued and the victim was shot. The suspect entered a dark coloured SUV and left. 

The suspect is described as;

  • Male;
  • Medium complexion;
  • heavy set;
  • approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. 

The Lloydminster RCMP General Investigations Section has taken over the investigation. 

“This is a troubling crime,” said Jerry Nutbrown, detachment commander Lloydminster RCMP. Know that all available resources are being utilized to locate this dangerous suspect.”
