Loon Lake RCMP have arrested two individuals with a plethora of weapons and a home made conducted energy device.
RCMP received information on Sept. 12 that a wanted male was at a residence on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
The man was wanted on warrants for offences including assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Loon Lake RCMP obtained a warrant to enter the residence and with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s critical incident response team arrested the man. An adult female was also arrested at the scene.
The investigation led to officers locating and seizing two firearms, two machetes and a homemade conducted energy device in the residence.
As a result of the investigation Ethan Swiftwolfe, 27 and Rachel Kytwayhat, 41 Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation are each charged with:
- one count, resist police officer
- one count, possession of weapon contrary to order
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Swiftwolfe has also been charged with one count of possession of weapon contrary to order. The two are scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Sept. 16.
