Parke: Laura Jean Parke passed away October 17, 2024 at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, AB at the age of 59 with her partner Gary Enggleson by her side. Laura was born January 4, 1965 in Nipawin Saskatchewan . At the age of 3, Leonard and Louisa Parke brought her home to their family ranch north of Onion Lake, SK. Her fiery red hair and sweet personality made her fit right into the large Parke family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren: Matthew(Diane ) Moorman and their kids Michael, Matthew, Ana, Rose. Charlie Moorman(Sarahetta) Sarah Moorman and her children Cassie, Payton and Fynn. She is predeceased by her parents (2012 and 2018) , her brother Dick(2006) and her infant daughter Pamela Jean(1985). Survived by her siblings : Doreen Lyding of Coaldale, AB , Keith(Bev) Parke of Dapp, AB Len(Ruby)Parke from High Prairie, AB , Heather (Cliff) Swanson from Prince Gerorge, BC , sister-in-law Betty Parke(Grande Prairie), sisters in law Audrey, Janice and Lenora and numerous nieces and nephews who grew up with her as their sister-auntie as well as a very large extended family who all loved her. Also remembered by her Dodman birth family. The family wishes to thank the nurses at the hospice centre and Laura’s social workers for their care and support. Laura was affectionately loved. She will be deeply missed. Her ashes will be buried between her parents who she loved so much. “Hold my hand all the way, every hour, every day From here to the great unknown Take my hand, let me stand Where no-one stands alone.”
