The Lloydminster RCMP will host a women’s self-defence class over two evenings in November, aiming to boost confidence and empower attendees.
The classes are led by Cst. Dylan Schellenberg, a professional fighter with ten years of experience, and they provide crucial skills for personal safety.
Self-defence is vital for women, not just as a means of protection but also as a way to foster independence and increase resilience. Learning self-defence techniques can help women feel more secure in their daily lives and provide them with tools to respond effectively to potential threats.
The classes are open to women aged 16 and up at no cost. They will occur on November 5th and 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in OTS Room 2 on the second floor of the Servus Sports Centre, located at 5202 12 St, Lloydminster, AB. To register, contact Cst. Schellenberg at 587-399-3816 or via email at dylan.schellenberg@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
