The upper level of the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre has been temporarily closed as testing takes place for asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
Testing has revealed a slightly elevated reading of ACMs in a mechanical room on the upper floor.
The closure will impact the Green Glacier restaurant area, administrative offices and storage areas on the second floor.
The public will still have access to the lower level which includes curling ice, viewing areas, racquetball courts and change rooms.
The city says the closure is a precautionary safety measure and remains in effect until further notice.
Additional testing will be completed in the coming days.
