County of Vermilion River (CVR) protective services members stayed busy throughout the month of January.

Freezing temperatures and harsh winter weather led to a surge in vehicle crashes across the CVR.

Peace Officers increased patrols on backroads and around facilities due to the extreme cold. The county’s emergency management teams kept a close watch on conditions to ensure emergency services were ready.
