DENNIS: Larry Charles Dennis passed away at Rosehaven Care Centre, Camrose, Alberta on January 28, 2025 at the age of 89 years.
Larry is loved and remembered by: his wife of 65 years, Bertha Dennis; daughter, Shelly (Ed) Greupner; grandson, Jesse (Cheryl) Greupner; granddaughter, Kaleen Greupner (fiancée Devin Swyripa); great grandsons, Lukas Greupner and Hunter Lowrie; great granddaughter, Katie Swyripa ; brother, Lyle (Elaine) Dennis; sisters, Lois Hippe-Tweten and Carol Golinowski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was predeceased by: his son, Terry Dennis; sister, Shirley DeCorby; parents, Charles Dennis and Katherine Dennis-Erker; father-in-law, Frank Fournier; and his mother-in-law Hedwig Fournier.
A Private Family interment was held at Lloydminster City Cemetery officiated by Brett McCaw.
Celebration of Larry’s Life was conducted from Legacy Centre, Lloydminster, AB on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2:00PM.
Donations if desired in memory of Larry, may be made to The Bethany Group- Rosehaven Care Centre – Camrose, AB.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

Larry’s family is grateful and appreciates the care Larry received from the Lloydminster Hospital, Maidstone Hospital, Turtleford Hospital and Dr Cooke Extended Care Center over the last few years. Heartfelt appreciation to everyone at Rosehaven Care Center in Camrose for their compassionate and understanding care of ‘Papa Larry’. We found a special place there and are thankful his last year and a half were spent with them all. A sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Snyman for her unwavering understanding and compassionate care of Larry for many years.
Thank you to the Legacy Center for their facility and lunch served at the celebration.
Sincere thank you to Brett McCaw and staff for their compassionate guidance and assistance. The graveside service was just what Larry would have wanted – thank you for all the calls, texts, cards, flowers and hugs from those who traveled from near and far.
