Guardian Plumbing and Heating Ltd. marked its 15-year anniversary by cutting the ribbon on a new building.
The family-owned company celebrated the milestone on Sept. 18 at its new facility, located in the 3700 block of 52 St., with customers, staff and community members.
Guests enjoyed baked potatoes, 80 pounds of prime rib, coleslaw, hamburgers and hot dogs, while kids enjoyed a bouncy castle.
Co-owner Joey Stephan said the celebration was a way to thank loyal customers.

“We have a large membership, and they take such good care of us. Letting us do their work and allowing our dispatch to line up jobs with them every single day, and we’re just very thankful for that,” he said.

Co-owner Blaine Stephan said the day marked more than the new building. It showed how far the business has come since opening in 2010.
“For us, I mean, you only hit 15 once, right?” said Blaine. “We hit 10 in the middle of COVID and tried our best to celebrate how we could, but it was tough to get people in. Hitting 15 is such a milestone for us, and we wanted to celebrate it in a big way.”
Guardian Plumbing and Heating employs over two dozen staff members and offers 24-hour service.
