Onion Lake RCMP has charged 21-year-old Romeo Dillon after a serious assault at a residence on Onion Lake Cree Nation.

Officers responded to reports of an assault at 1:25 p.m. on Sept. 24 and located an injured adult male. The male was assessed by EMS for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
Investigation determined an altercation occurred between two males at a residence, resulting in injuries to one of the males.
The male suspect left the residence on foot and was located and arrested at a separate residence on Onion Lake Cree Nation later that day.
Dillon was charged with:
- one count, assault with a weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code.
- one count, assault causing bodily harm, Section 267(b), Criminal Code.
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code.
- one count, uttering threats against a person, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.
Dillon is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Oct. 8, 2025.
