Lloydminster facing 3.9 per cent tax increase

The City of Lloydminster is proposing a 3.9 per cent tax increase as part of its budget process.

The first presentation of the 2026 budget was seen by council on Nov. 5. The city is anticipated to see assessment growth of 3.5 per cent along with a 5 per cent increase in utilities

For 2026, the city is projecting $119,282,175 in operating revenue with a proposed capital budget of $29,676,380. Operating expenses are $102,613,114 with $16,630,553 being transferred to reserves.
