LEE, JAMES “JIM” RONALD On April 7th, 2026, Jim Lee passed away at 81 years of age after a full and wonderful life. Jim will be remembered first and foremost for his deep love of the outdoors. Whether he was out fishing on a quiet lake or hunting in the early morning stillness, he found peace and purpose in nature. This love was not something he kept to himself; he brought it into his classroom, where he spent more than 30 years as a dedicated teacher at Ashmont Elementary. Jim had a unique gift for inspiring his students, often using the outdoors as a lens to teach, connect, and spark curiosity. His lessons went far beyond textbooks, leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives. Outside of teaching, Jim was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed building and fixing things, always ready with a tool in hand and a solution in mind. He had an appreciation for creativity, expressed through his enjoyment of music and art, and he cherished the adventures that travelling brought to his and Audrey’s life. Hockey, however, held a special place in his heart, whether he was playing or watching, it was one of his greatest passions. Above all else, Jim was a devoted family man. His love for his family was at the center of everything he did, and he took immense pride in the life he built with his girls and their families. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 57 years, Audrey; his daughters, Joyanna (Chris) & Jan (Derek); grandchildren, Aislyn (Malcolm) & Jakob (Lashonda); great grandson, Amias; sister, Pat; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe & Sadie; his brother, Joe; and his grandson, Nathan. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in Lashburn, Saskatchewan at a later date. To honor his lifelong dedication to the wellbeing of children, in lieu of flowers, a donation to a children’s charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated c/o 5626-51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. “And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul” – John Muir To send condolences online, please visit www.gracegardensfuneralchapel. com GRACE GARDENS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB
