The Just Kruzin’ Specialty Vehicle Club is making its rounds through Lloydminster’s seniors’ care homes today, bringing vintage cars and specialty vehicles to residents across the Border City.

The cruise departs the LloydMall at 5:30 p.m. sharp, visiting nine facilities over the next three hours.
The tour includes stops at Pioneer Lodge, Wellings of Lloydminster, Points West Living and Dr. Hemstock Retirement Residence, with drive-bys at Lloydminster Continuing Care Centre, Padua Place, Dr Cooke Extended Care, Horizon Village and Fellowship Village.
Building on past success
The cruise wraps up at the Rendell Centre Tim Hortons at about 8:20 p.m.
The Just Kruzin’ car show has become a fixture in Lloydminster’s summer calendar, celebrating classic and specialty vehicles while connecting enthusiasts with the community.
Organizers say the seniors’ home visits give residents a chance to see vehicles they might remember from earlier decades and the stops create opportunities for conversation between car owners and care home residents.
Kitscoty cruise returns Aug. 26
The club’s next community event is the return cruise to Kitscoty on Aug. 26, finishing at Farmstead Market on Main Street.
Main Street will close from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the event, which includes a fundraiser barbecue, entertainment, local vendors and the Farmstead Market store and ice cream shop.
More than 60 classic and specialty vehicles attended July’s Kitscoty cruise and organizers expect an even larger turnout this month.
Additional vendors are expected to join the market-style atmosphere.
