Leeming joins the Bobcats after spending the past four seasons as head coach of the MacEwan University Griffins women’s hockey team in U Sports. Prior to his time in Edmonton, he spent five seasons leading the Olds College Broncos women’s program in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.

Bringing nearly a decade of collegiate head coaching experience to the Border City, Leeming will join head coach Matt Brassard’s staff as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

“Having the opportunity to join the Bobcats organization is truly exciting for me, as I have heard nothing but great things about the community support and the people involved,” Leeming said.

“The two pieces that Nigel and Matt shared that impressed me the most were the importance of developing these young men as people to help them achieve their goals and the vision for a championship culture.”

Leeming added that this approach directly aligns with his coaching philosophy and that he looks forward to making a strong contribution to the program.
