Swanstrom: Joyce Arlene Swanstrom (Franz) of Marsden, SK passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Pine Island Lodge Maidstone, SK at the age of 82 years. Joyce is lovingly remembered by: her husband of 61 years , Robert (Bob) Swanstrom; daughter, Rhonda (Lyle) Christensen; granddaughters, Alana (Randy) Wilkie and Karlee (Lochlan) Walker; and great-grandchildren, Calum, Alden, Audrey and Nora. Joyce was predeceased by: her son, Robert (Robin) Swanstrom; sister, Noreen Pickford; and parents William (Bill) and Dorothy (Dot) Franz. Raised near Hillmond, SK, Joyce moved to Marsden to begin a teaching career before devoting her life to her family and the farm. She was an avid gardener and baker, and had an artistic ability that was evident in everything that she did. Our beloved “GG” will be greatly missed for her wisdom, kindness, great sense of humour, and ability to always lend a listening ear. A private family service will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the Maidstone Health Complex – Pine Island Lodge. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
