VINEK: Lloyd Johnny Vinek (John) passed away peacefully on Sunday July 13, 2025, at the age of 81 in the St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK after a hard-fought battle with cancer. The Funeral Service was conducted from WLS Convention Centre, Lloydminster, SK on August 1, 2025, at 10:30. CARD OF THANKS We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone for the visits, phone calls, messages and offers of help. We appreciate all the kindness and support we have received. Dad had a wonderful group of friends who came to play cards, bring treats and drive to appointments and outings, when he was no longer able. These acts of kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you to the St. Paul’s Hospital palliative care unit, Saskatoon University Hospital specialists, and Lloydminster Hospital staff for the great care that was provided to dad. We would also like to express gratitude to Linda and Ross Graham for delivering a lovely eulogy, Ken Kay for his kind words, Ann Campbell for playing the piano, Flowers on the Fly for the beautiful flower arrangement, the choir and to minister Cathy of the United Church for orchestrating a beautiful funeral. We want to thank all those people who came to help celebrate dad’s life, made charitable donations, brought gifts of food and flowers to our home and who wrote heartfelt tributes and cards of memories of dad.
