Boston Pizza in Lloydminster recently made a $600 donation to Jarrod Russell’s Great Cycle Challenge fundraiser childhood cancer research.
The restaurant said it chose to support Russell because of the cause and the milestone of his decade-long commitment to supporting childhood cancer.

Russell, who’s travelled more than 10,000 kilometres in 10 years on his recumbent bike, was nothing short of gracious.
“I just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me. It means a lot and it helps kids who need it most,” he said.
Over the past decade, Russell has raised more than $300,000 for child cancer research.
His efforts have earned him recognition as the top fundraiser in Alberta and third nationally in the 2025 Great Cycle Challenge.
You can still donate to Russell’s campaign until the end of the month here.
