Municipal flags across the community are at half-mast as the City of Lloydminster shares in mourning the lives lost and those affected by recent events in and around James Smith Cree Nation, Sask.
“On behalf of Lloydminster, I extend my deepest sympathies to the families and community members of James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, Sask.," said Mayor Gerald Aalbers. "The lives of many were taken too soon, and the path forward was altered for countless others. We wish everyone strength as the nation’s communities mourn."
Flags at municipal government buildings will be lowered to half-mast until sunset on Monday, Sept. 12.
