The hometown defenceman continued his stellar run of form last week, extending his personal point streak to 12 games with a four-point (3G, 1A) performance over two contests.
Hopko earned the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game award on Oct. 31, netting two goals and an assist to help the Bobcats secure a 4-3 overtime victory against the Olds Grizzlys. He followed up the performance the next day by scoring his ninth goal of the season in a narrow 3-2 loss to the Drayton Valley Thunder.
With 17 points (9G, 8A) through 15 games played, Hopko is currently tied for fifth in overall league scoring among defencemen. His steady play on the blue line has helped propel the Bobcats to an 8-2 record over their last 10 games.
Hopko previously captured the weekly defensive honours for the period of Sept. 28 to Oct. 4.
