WILLARD, John Lorne 1945-2023
Lorne passed away peacefully April 24 at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton after a short illness. He was 78 years old.
He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Dianna Shoaf, Donna Crone, Debbie Willard and Ted Willard. His sister in law: Dianne Palmer, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Lorne was predeceased by his wife Ruth; Parents – John and Evelyn Willard; Mother and Father in Law – Maurice and Edna Palmer; Siblings – Elaine Willard, Gene Willard, Wayne Willard and Darlene Willard. Sisters in law – Tammy Almond, Ruth Willard (nee Chambers) Brothers in law – Ronald Shoaf, Stanley Palmer and Larry Crone.
Lorne was born and raised in Lloydminster, SK. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from the U of S. and worked at Telus in Edmonton for most of his career.
He met his future wife, Ruth Palmer in Edmonton and they were married for 51 years before her passing. They had a great life together travelling the world and doting on each other. Lorne enjoyed woodworking and we all have a keepsake of his talents.
As per Lorne’s request, there will be no services.
