A large blaze damaged a building at Foremost in the city's north-end industrial park leading to the dispatch of multiple emergency personnel.
It is the second incident at the facility in the past year.
At approximately 5 p.m. on Oct. 22, the Lloydminster Fire Department (LFD) received reports of heavy smoke coming from the industrial park near Highway 17 and 67 St.
Upon arrival, responders saw smoke pouring from multiple windows of an old round building on the Foremost property.
Eight emergency vehicles and 18 firefighters from the department were at the scene. Additionally, assistance was provided by the RCMP and Emergency Medical Services.
Meanwhile, firefighters pulled multiple hoses and attacked the blaze through doorways in the lower part of the structure.
Officials reported no injuries occurred in the fire. However, the ambulance remained on scene while crews controlled the situation. 67 St. was closed by law enforcement while firefighting work was being done.
Additionally, during the call, the LFD was required to attend a second incident. According to city officials, a minor motor vehicle required three units to assist from the fire scene on the north end.
The fire was brought under control within an hour. The cause is under investigation.
