The Lakeland College Rustlers women's basketball team remains undefeated after back-to-back home wins over the Olds College Broncos.
The Rustlers hosted the Broncs at the Lakeland gym for an 81-50 win on Nov. 1 and an 86-33 win on Nov. 2.
Rustlers' starting guard Hineaupounamu (Missy) Nuku got 30 minutes on the floor on Nov. 1 and put up 20 points. Susan Ayaa played for 28 minutes and wracked up 18 points, and the Rustlers' new guard from Birmingham, Alabama, Andria Stitt, put up nine points in 24 minutes. Caitlin Shillabeer also had a good night with 10 points in 16 minutes.
Saturday's 86-33 blowout saw more points for the Rustlers' starters. Shillabeer, Stitt, and Ayaa had 12-point nights, Nuku put up 11, and Abigail Whitehead got 8.
The Rustlers are in Calgary this weekend to play the St. Mary's University Lightning at 6 p.m. on Nov. 8. They face the Ambrose University Lions at 6 p.m. on Nov. 9.
The Rustlers women's basketball team is back at home on Nov. 22 to host the SAIT Trojans.
