Willis Checkosis is in custody in relation to a Cut Knife RCMP investigation involving 250 grams of cocaine.
Police arrested the 49-year-old at a residence on Poundmaker Cree Nation on Nov. 14.
Officers obtained a warrant to enter the residence. As they approached, an adult male fled out of the residence into field behind it.
Cut Knife RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services located him a short time later.
Authorities arrested the male, identified as Checkosis, on his outstanding warrant from Nov. 9, 2024.
On Nov. 9, RCMP searched a residence on Poundmaker Cree Nation and seized 250 grams of cocaine, trafficking paraphernalia, ammunition and weapons, leading to an arrest warrant.
He was scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Nov. 15, 2024
